The heat load in commercial building is generally much higher than the normal residential application for a room in a house. As a result, the commercial systems are bigger in size compared to the residential systems.
The commercial environment is generally noisier than the quiet residential. The noise levels of the air conditioning systems for residential are lower than big commercial plant.
Also the commercial plant are different types such as roof top packaged units, air handlers and water chillers.
The high rise commercial buildings and offices now use VRF – variable refrigerant flow systems which can provide simultaneous heating and cooling to various rooms. Normally the commercial systems of air conditioning also incorporate ventilation requirements as per the building code.
